Professor Kishor Wasan

Until 2014, Professor Kishor Wasan held the position of associate dean of research and tenured professor at the University of British Columbia. Professor Kishor Wasan has contributed significantly to the establishment of innovative research and educational programs and has published over 520 peer-reviewed publications and journal abstracts. Through his 19 years of independent research at UBC, he has showed effectiveness at directing research programs. Wasan received a bachelor's degree in pharmacy from the University of Texas at Austin and a doctorate in Cellular and Molecular Pharmacology from the University of Texas Medical Center in Houston, Texas. Dr. Kishor Wasan has worked as a pharmacist in both retail and hospital settings and continues to have a Texas pharmacist license.

Professor Kishor Wasan is a fellow of the Canadian Academy of Health Sciences, the American Association of Pharmaceutical Scientists, and the Canadian Society of Pharmaceutical Scientists. He is also a Distinguished University Scholar and a Canadian Institutes of Health Research/iCo Therapeutics Inc. Research Chair in Drug Delivery for Neglected Global Diseases. In the realm of postsecondary education, he is well-known for his strengths in research and curriculum modification.
